The morning it happened, he had left the house for work super early and lied about having a work meeting. When she woke up, she saw the baby dead (laying where her boyfriend sleeps on the opposite side of the bed). She called the police and eventually went to meet them at the hospital. He met her at the hospital. On the way home from the hospital he insisted she ride in his car back to their house, where the investigators would meet them. He told her that she needed to tell the police a slightly alternative story because it would make her look like she could have been negligent if she didn’t. (He is a manipulator to the core and she knows that now) So from a horrifically traumatized state she did not give accurate details. Looking back, she realizes the details he had her leave out were the ones that pointed to possible foul play. It’s all very fucked up.
