Her parents are BJP bhakts. I thought she was ok and always seemed to not have crazy views until she said that today, and I got super pissed. I did not believe people have such narrow mind

Sometimes propaganda is so effective that a lot of people get swayed by it. This is especially true with the Tablighi incident. News channels pretty much claimed that Tablighis have spread Covid in India. Anyone who watches news and takes it at face value will end up believing it. Media gave huge coverage to entire Nizamuddin incident and the following cases all over India. There were daily reports of more cases amongst attendes or legal cases filed.

Obviously the subsequent cases being quashed and U-turns got a tiny fraction of original coverage

I suppose you need to ask her why she thinks so and discuss this based on facts. If she refuses to change her opinion after you have presented the facts then its an issue
