My girlfriend (18) and I (18) just recently took a 'break'. I don't know how to move on from here.

There is no such thing as a break. It's just a short/slang term for "break-up".

I know it's hard. I'm sorry. Don't stay friends; move on and meet new people, new girls (both platonic and romantic). If you only knew how much it gets better in the years ahead (I am 27, so my own memories of being 18 and in a similar situation are resonating hard).

When I think about how strong my love and feelings were for girls I met from age 19 onward, versus all the feelings I had for girls when I was 18, 17, 16... it genuinely doesn't even compare. I promise, you are going to go through such amazing experiences with women in your life that you will belt out laughing when you remember one day how hung-up you were over that girl from when you were 18.

Consider dating a non-trans person. This isn't considered polite to say, but many trans women have mental issues that make dating them incompatible at the age you currently are.
