I'm probably going to delete this soon but I just wanted to write a short update. I wasn't expecting so many people to engage with my (very) long text but the amount of responses has been overwhelming. I'm really sorry if I can't answer all of you.

I hugged my girlfriend really tight yesterday and told her that I'd always be there for her. I couldn't stop crying while doing it but well I still got my message across haha. She's been looking into therapy for a while, it's just a matter of finding the right person for her now. I never really thought about going myself, but after reading your comments the idea doesn't seem half bad. Time will tell, but I'm hopeful she'll get better eventually and I wanna help as much as I can.
