My grandma and her church tried to exorcize the childfreedom out of me and I am absolutely traumatized

I can't vouch for how accurately I remember this because I haven't had a conversation with them about religion for maybe 8 years now? So I mainly remember the topics that annoyed me, but most of it was fairly boring.

A major thing was a pastor(?) suggested that reading the Quran may be a good idea for personal education and that he was reading it. That really upset them. Possibly a different pastor was "too modern" because he talked about social media in a positive light and how people should use it for good.

One thing I agreed about, someone was misusing donations to the church to buy shit for themseves and paying for fancy events, and distributing donated stuff to their friends and the "poor" people that they liked. I think they left that church/organisation after publically complaining about it which was pretty cool.
