My Hero Academia Season 4 Episode 25 (SEASON FINALE) - Anime Only Discussion Thread

I don't think Endeavor necessarily deserves a redemption arc... but that's what's great about My Hero.

To anybody who enjoyed Bakugo's redemption arc... let's take a look at what's happened with Bakugo. At the end of the day, yes, Bakugo's still just a kid. But he also added years and years of mental and physical abuse to another kid to the point where Deku was nearly suicidal. His bullying isn't exactly what Endeavor did, but he still knowingly added suffering towards Deku and probably other people that haven't been mentioned.

I'm still an Anime only and don't intend on reading the manga for spoilers (though that will be hard), but I think I'm starting to see how Endeavor's redemption arc unfolds.

This episode just told us Endeavor's always been obsessed to pass All Might. Endeavor did that, and may or may not have recognized what he was doing to his family at the time. Yes, to the viewers, it's been clear from the start that Endeavor is not a likeable person. But we've seen this story from the side of the Todoroki family. The Todoroki family are certainly victims and Endeavor isn't cleared automatically just like that, but we haven't fully seen things from his perspective either.

His perspective won't necessarily cleanse him from his past, but it looks like we'll eventually get a full perspective of why Endeavor did what he did. It will definitely be interesting to watch his development unfold.
