The current flag of Kosovo has 6 stars, 1 for each of the ethnic groups in Kosovo. In my redesign, I split the flag in 6 and gave each ethnic group 1 section. The 6 sections from top to bottom are taken from the following flags:
Albania, to represent the Albanians in Kosovo,
Serbia, to represent the Serbs in Kosovo,
Turkey, to represent the Turks in Kosovo,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, to represent the Bosniaks in Kosovo,
The flag of the Gorani people to represent the Gorani people in Kosovo and
The flag of the Romani people, to represent the Romani people in Kosovo.
