You shouldn’t be selfish when it comes to friendships. You should be happy for him. Let him have his space and find new friends in the meantime.

My boyfriend had a friend who tried to hangout with him the other day. When my boyfriend answered that he had plans with me the friend texted him, “whatever, don’t even bother. You never make an effort to hangout with me anyways”

My boyfriend was venting to me about it and said he did not like that response whatsoever and though it was extremely childish.

On the other hand, he has friends who are busy themselves with their own lives and are happy just to see him every once in awhile. Those are the friends he keeps around
