My migraines are going to cause me to lose my job... I need some advice.

I have the same migraine type as you, that seem like stroke symptoms on then surface. I'm in Ireland too and the triptan meds my doctor put me on actually made them so much worse (I didn't know that was possible)!

You probably would be like me and terrified to change meds in case they got worse in between or something. But I'll just share what has helped me. I bought Migraleve Pink, fully believing it wouldn't work but praying it would take the edge off. That was around 4 years ago, best find of my life. If taken as soon as the aura comes on.

But then this year things changed. I woke up with migraine so had no chance to take meds. I have yet to find anything that helps once the pain has started. And they went from every couple of months, to every couple of days (I had started in a place with lighting that aggravated them). I was so incredibly desperate for relief from the pain, I couldn't live with it. So I researched for days and went out and bought all sorts of pills and through the process of elimination found one that helped. Magnesium. I started taking it ritually and haven't had an attack since.

If you're desperate like I was, it is worth a shot. Could change your life!
