My mom has 2 months to live and I'll be own my own. What job to get ?

Oh bugger off pal.

I'll even dare to go as far as to say you know that damn well, because if you had even a slight bit of proof that such a situation was happening you could take them to court and rinse 'them'.

I feel for you because it's an absolute shit pit of despair when you can't find a job you'd like. But you're not alone, and I'm sure the 60,000+ other non-related job working graduates would have a thing or two to say about you using your name as an excuse. What's their excuse, hair too blond? Name too posh? Don't be daft.

It's easy to make excuses as to why you aren't getting a job - I've been there. But maybe, juuuuuuust maybe, the problem isn't your name. My problem was a lack of experience, knowledge, and effort on applications. A degree means very little if you don't fit the bill.

/u/Russell141 is right, the attitude your showing to rejection isn't going to help you. When I was unsuccessful in applications I analysed why, where I went wrong, it's hard to accept that you might not have been the best application - it's easy to blame the employer.

You are not being put down because you have a different name. Just as anecdotal as your evidence, but two of my mates have gone from engineering degree courses to very successful jobs, neither of them were British born, both have non English language names. Funnily enough the two other engineering grads I know are from the UK, called Jack and David, both of them have struggled to find work. Why were two successful and two weren't? Because two have perfect English language (like you), great degrees (like you), but they also have bundles of experience from placements, year in industry, outside of uni research and work - the other two don't. And that's not to say the two who were successful didn't get rejected, one of them was rejected from the continuation of his integrated masters.

Maybe i should go home right?

Cheap blow, that one.
