My mom contacted a Navy recruiter (she “forwarded” the text to me) after I told her I wanted to started hormones (I’m nearly 18). Apparently “forcing” me into the military will stop me from transitioning. Nice.

!explanation

I came out when I was 15, my parents said they accepted me. They didn’t do much to help me transition (which I wouldn’t consider too horrible to be frank) so I had to work for boys clothes, and a haircut. Once I took initiative and did shit myself they suddenly changed tune and have been EXTREME resistant to me transitioning.

Today I discussed my plans to start hormones when I turn 18 (I was not asking for assistance, I was giving my mother a heads up) and she lost her shit. She basically told me that I need to “straighten” myself out and stop with the transgender thing. So her solution was to call a military recruiter on my behalf since she heard the military doesn’t allow transitioning (I’m not sure if that’s correct, but that was her thought process).
