I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I dealt with my really awful mother trying to get me fired from multiple, great jobs I had as I was building my career due to her mental health issues and my cutting her off due to pervasive physical abuse throughout my child and teen years. (She's now a massive Trumper, only know because she still tries to stalk me on FB and I have people in my life who keep an eye on her -- it's been nearly 20 years since I cut her off and this is still necessary!) Anyway I know the unique pain of having to explain your family's outrageous actions to bosses over and over. Luckily my bosses always had my back, as well. I will keep you in my thoughts.
