My NHS experience (and why you should get checked for bowel cancer)

Your story is fairly similar to mine. My movements changed massively so I tried the usual tablets etc but nothing would help it. I changed my diet and lost some weight but still nothing would help it. In the end I went to the doctors and then eventually the camera up the rear at the hospital.

I was thinking the worst the whole time. Thought I had cancer. Thank god it turns out I didn’t but I was diagnosed with colitis. It’s something that I have to live with the rest of my life but it’s manageable.

So many blokes won’t bother going to the doctors but I’m so glad I did. It’s such a weight off my mind. It’s not fun going to the doctors but it’s so worth it.
