My old dog died a week ago. Got a new puppy this Saturday and just learned the small buddy has dog typhus. FML

From my conversation with the volunteer, I understood that the owners of the third pup (the one without symptoms) have the financial capabilities but just didn't want to do it. She even begged them to take the pup to the vet today and that she'll pay for it tomorrow when she'll be in the town to take the pup back to the selter, they said no to this too.

I do understand if someone can't handle it psychologically or financially, I lost my best 4-legged friend very recently and it still hurts, but you just can't say "no" when someone begs you to waste 30 minutes of your time to take the poor thing to a vet to save its life and even tells you that you'll pay nothing.

All of the pups had their first round of vaccines and I'm hoping that because of that my pup may have a chance and may make it.

I don't regret having him, even if he doesn't make it, I want him to feel loved til the end. I'm just really angry right now for obvious reasons
