My take on the CUPW strikes

I do work with small businesses, and I hate the effect the strikes are having on you. But I want to be safe in the knowledge that the people responsible for delivering our mail are happy in their jobs, paid to a standard that they deserve, and safe. I've recently ordered a pretty expensive item from a small business and I'm very anxious for it to arrive, sure, but I know all of this action is happening right now. I guess the point of my original post was to let the average Joe know what the strikes are for. If everyone knew and understood, then pressure would be taken off small business owners to take responsibility for late deliveries. I absolutely hope these strikes are resolved soon. Not only for CP workers, but for people like you, the business owners who rely on them to get your product into your customers hands safely and reliably.

I'd rather the average mailman got a better wage and was trained and vetted to a degree where they can absolutely and unequivocally be trusted with the important mail and packages that we send every day.
