Well first of all, thanks for posting. It’s a tough one, you got caught in the typical pit lobby catch 22.

I want to commend you for taking some responsibility and not allowing you dog into areas that would be dangerous for other people and pets, thank you for that.

My opinion is probably going to be the same, what do you get out of owning a breed that you know is very dangerous and has the probability to harm you, why have a dog that can’t be around friends/family/young children, why have a companion that is just as likely to tear your face off one day when you cuddle it?

I’m not trying to bash you or your decision because it looks like you’re pretty level headed, but why not have a breed that is loyal and is able to take part in your life/visit family, interact at a dog park.
