Since there is multiple plants i find it hard to believe there would be only 1 male sus flore or 1 female pisshiter when you think about it, green shadow was just some random peashooter that was lucky and got zapped considering it was a random female peashooter leads me to believe there are more female peas especially since fire pea is well, just some random peashooter who is on fire and well she is female. Now unlike most i believe pvz plants have both characters and a species even tho it doesnt rlly make sense think of agent citron, agent rose, and agent corn in gw2, these guys are well, the higher ups the advanced ones and the ones named after the species and we do know there are more of these guys as they are a species yet these guys are a character aswell with personallities and being the main characters which leads me to believe that the ones in the almanac are characters while the plants you place in the garden are a species. Dumb idea i know but i prefer this one over the other 2 ideas which causes stupid arguments

And on the topic of well this, isnt the gw plants the ones you play as are litteraly just a character the player creates? Like a self insert or an original character i seen multiple games take this approach or model especially for the younger demographic games such as little big planet or sonic forces are probably known for this the characters in lbp never refer to you as the character sackboy rather refer to you as sack thing or sack person. Same goes for sonic forces refering you as rookie because you are not the character you are your own character

for example, i can have a cactus who is in stage 6 of cancer and is slowly becoming a pickle as we speak of a susflore who has a clown face as she is a dream stan, a furry, and most importantly lacks a father all characters i made in gw2
