This is an old problem which is highlighted by the difficulty of the hack : people think they need Chat Leading and Optimization (and it may be true which is a shame). It's not the best moment to complain (Firered was) but I share your « disgust » when I see that one of the most popular phrases in the chat is « @z33k33 What's the plan ? ».

You know, I feel like the run started without Chat Leading (the orders were drowned by the numerous messages, the system of Red makes it more difficult) but the fall of the viewership brought back old habits. It's way easier to follow someone's practical plans instead of thinking for yourself. And why would you change it if it works ? Why would you go « against the community » (or what it has become) and be called a « troll » ?

After all, most of the plans succeeded. We just chose to ditch a beloved team (Thundercat, Onix, …) for the sake of Optimization and then lost everyone except Leech King who was already there before the plan. We just chose to trade our Slowbro for an unreliable « Alakazam ». We just spitted on the illusion of a full-Anarchy run (if that means something) to make a Party switch. Some plans might not be brilliant (the « B+Left to use the PC » was funny) but who cares ? At least if we make mistakes, we can impeach the Chat Leader instead of looking in the mirror...

I have no doubt we will beat the game under the guidance of z33k33, he even predicted it on Day 3 : « Just let the genwunners get bored and leave us, we'll beat the game when there's only 1000 people here to put the work into it, I'll lead us out of this misery when people get tired of pc use and the genwunners leave like they did in emerald ». Yep, we'll beat the game -too bad we'll be so few to enjoy it. I'm just sad people are now so focused on the destination instead of enjoying the journey. But it's not news...

Again, I'm not blaming the person (nice involvement) but the notion of Chat Leading which might or might not turn the stream into a Let's play. The Rom Hack definitely strengthened Chat Leading and I think Anniversary Red has been perfect to describe the entire TPP history from Chaos to Control. It must be me but I no longer see the point, I just don't care anymore.

If it's your only problem with this run, consider yourself lucky because a lot of negative things could be said...
