My parents try to drag me along with them everywhere

I get how you feel at 22. Honestly I can relate. Now that I’m 28, I feel much more connected and grateful to be there with parents. A big part of it was realizing how precious life is. They have so much life experience and stories of their lives to share. They treat me like a friend now and appreciate my input. Sometimes when you get too irritated, just breathe and think about what you are grateful for. Our parents give up a lot to provide for us what they think is in our best interest. They are doing their best. I grew up always angry at my parents for being so different than everyone else, but when I changed my mindset and showed them appreciation, everything changed. It’ll take time and patience. But make sure you build a good relationship with them before it’s too late.
