This is my point

we can still significantly reduce how much work we're doing already. contemporary capitalist society is full of things done in ways that require more human labor than is necessary because we're operating on the notion that everyone has to be working full time. we could significantly reduce the amount of labor hours we use to fuel our current productivity, spread out the remaining labor evenly among the population, and give everybody a whole lot more free time to pursue their goals with using technology we already have.

as I said: I understand that society, at our current technological level still requires labor to function, but we simply do not need to be using as much labor as we are to maintain our current productivity.
