I don’t believe your belief is correct. Alfred Kinsley’s book highlights the effect you’re referring to about how religiosity exacerbates the self perceived effect. But to say that it’s not whatsoever addictive is just not aligned with the current literature. Else, why do the fMRI scans show patterns of striatal responses are different between PPU and other control groups even across spectrums of religious belief?

I’m aware of these study “Positive Porn: Educational, Medical, and Clinical Uses” and I agree that it’s stigmatized, but the claim that it is not intrinsically addictive seems like more like a nice way to round off a post than a statement with evidence behind it. What’s the link to the lit review you were referring to?
