My preceptor passed away over the weekend.

Close family friend died and another friend’s child’s teacher (preschool) sent this to the parents. I think it’s well-done.

On a very sad note, our friend Jack’s “Grandpa Bubba” passed away last Friday. He picked up Jack and his brother nearly every day after school, so most of our class knew him and loved him. They would all yell “Bubba!” when he arrived, and then rush to hug him. He was a great guy. I’m not sure what your children will come home and tell you; children grieve, and understand death, in all sorts of ways. Just be prepared. I will keep you posted, and will answer any questions your children pose to me thoughtfully and with compassion.
