Mine is still in the box, waiting for me to be freed from the spell of the Blue Meanies!

Early in lockdown I designed a bas relief of the sub in stud.io to get an idea of how the software works with a design that had texture but was simple. Now all I have to do is spend $100 on spare parts to make it real!

Another idea I’ve had is to design a pyramid stand for the actual Sub set like at the beginning of the movie. I tossed around doing that and even doing some sort of diorama of the seas and lands in Pepperland. They could do a whole theme on the movie.

I saw the movie again in theaters back in 2012. It holds up as a whimsical joy even as an adult.
