My social anxiety is ruining my relationships

Does wearing a covid mask (surgical mask or similar) at all help to alleviate your anxiety? If so, wear it around your friends. If they're weirded out by it, just tell them that you're super worried about catching covid.

Or, even if the masks don't help, how about just keeping in touch with your friends via phone conversations (not texts)? I no longer hang or even talk to my friends on the phone. It really sucks.

When you do talk to your friends, spend 5 minutes before hand writing down a short list of talking points/subjects/questions that are relevant to them or your relationship with them. It really helps keep the conversation moving and it keeps those awkward silences at bay.
