My theory about Devin Booker’s season (and off season)

Lol this is all too much for me. D-Book is a stud, and he's been given the reigns to run the team as a 22-year-old. Let's just understand that not everything is going to be beautiful, especially when it's the Phoenix Suns franchise we're talking about, run by you-know-who. D-Book is a very capable player, and has PROVEN TO US already that he's a magnificent scorer. He's coming off of an offseason hand surgery, and has been dealing with injuries all season long. He's still not having a bad season by any means...

I'm going to say that the reason we're not fighting for a playoff spot right now is partly due to our issues with foul differential. I don't have the stat in front of me but someone posted the differential in FTA's between us and other teams, and it's not good. And unfortunately, we can't control when a ref decides to blow their whistle. But I would be willing to bet the outcome of some of these games would at the very least be different if we weren't getting the shit end of the stick because we are a young team. You think the fact that other teams are sometimes going to the line twice as much as us isn't playing a role in our losses?

Let's also add in the fact that D-Book is on his fourth coach now in 4 seasons, and the franchise hasn't had much stability at all. These losses aren't on Book. I get that he has a big contract now, but one man can only do so much. I still believe in Book, and I'm sorry to see so many people doubting him. It's kinda funny honestly. People are so ephemeral in their opinions.
