My top 25 least favorite Simpsons episodes

I can say why I didn’t like any of these, I can’t really give any solid reasoning as to why episodes are placed where they are. It was more of a gut decision on most of them.

The Fool Monty: A really generic insomnia story (that the show had already done before), where Mr Burns loses his memory, so the townspeople get revenge on him. If burns was still evil, it would be fine, but this new version of him is genuinely nice, and it was frustrating seeing all of Springfield be assholes to him

The Greatest Story Ever D’ohed: Even in the classic seasons, travel episodes have a reputation for having really lame jokes, and this episode is one of the worst, with some of the flattest and most boring Israel jokes I’ve ever head. Homer think he’s the messiah is really stupid, but at least it could’ve made the episode more interesting…if it didn’t happen with 5 minutes left. Also, Sasha Baron Cohen’s character is really annoying, it feels like his only direction was to make his voice as squeaky as possible

Paths Of Glory: This episode answers the question: is bart a sociopath? First of all, that’s a question that shouldn’t even need to be answered. Secondly, even though they come to the conclusion that he isn’t, he is still super unlikable in this. Lisa’s subplot isn’t as bad, but there’s nothing good about it

What To Expect When Bart’s Expecting: People believe Bart has magical powers to (and if you haven’t heard of this episode, I assure you I am not lying) get women pregnant, so Fat Tony wants bart to get his race horse pregnant, but the horse is gay, and Homer and Bart sing a song about gay horse romance. It’s one of those episodes that falls in the mind numbingly stupid category

The Boys Of Bummer: This one is infamous, as it centers around all of Springfield harassing Bart to the point of suicide, all because he screwed up in a baseball game. Though I hate the majority of this episode, the Homer subplot is fun enough to keep the episode relatively high on my list

Eight Misbehaving: Apu and Manjula pretty much go to hell in this one. I legitimately hate the octuplets purely because of this episode, they’re portrayed as this destructive force that ruin Apu’s life. It’s just pure misery

Kill Gil Volumes 1 & 2: Gil is awful and I hate him

The Strong Arms Of The Ma: I like the beginning, they take the mugging seriously without being too melodramatic, and I enjoy that it take itself seriously. The episode then falls off a cliff, the bodybuilding jokes miss way more often than they land, and Marge, uh, rapes Homer. This is my least favorite moment in the whole series, and you could put it in the best episodes of the show, and it would be enough to make me hate the as a whole

Love Is A Many Splintered Thing: Like the two earlier episode her character appeared in, I think Zoey Deschanel gives a good performance here. That’s the only thing I like about the episode, though. Bart is a huge asshat throughout the whole episode, this is probably my least favorite portrayal of Bart in the whole series. It’s all framed through this awful Annie Hall parody that’s more strange than anything. I also hate how they feel the need to rope a Homer and Marge fight into the episode, it’s one of the laziest ones in the whole series and pretty much is an excuse to let Homer and Bart piss around at a bachelor pad

Blame It On Lisa: It’s 22 minutes of jokes about how much of an awful place Brazil is. I don’t know a lot about Brazil, so I’m not sure if all of it is true, but true or not the joke gets really unfunny and frustrating when it’s literally the only thing in the episode

Whisky Business: An entire episode about Moe suicide jokes. How fun.

Papa Don’t Leech: They bring back Lurleen from season 3 as an excuse to make jokes about how awful her life is, and they try to have some half assed conflict about her father issues. This is also the episode where Homer tries to murder Abe AND wonders how he can skip out on his family

Kill The Alligator And Run: Homer at his most annoying and frustrated, pretty much everything he does or says in the episode makes me hate him. Also, the ‘plot twist’ is really dumb

Million Dollar Abie: Everybody hates Abe. He attempts suicide and then becomes a bullfighter for no reason. Moving on

The Scorpions Tale: I wouldn’t dare spoil this one for anybody who hasn’t seen it, but it’s an episode that completely destroys any sense of logic or realism the show ever had going for it

Every Mans Dream: A big ratings trap that said that Homer and Marge would get a divorce in the episode. Not only do they use the ‘it was all a dream trope’ as a dumb copout ending, but the rest of the episode is just Homer and Marge bickering and everyone acting miserable

Bart The Bad Guy: given this episode’s air date, the time at which disney bought fox, and the amount of time it takes an episode of The Simpsons to be produced, i’m willing to bet that disney forced the simpsons showrunners to make this episode, and it shows. They kiss up to Marvel sooooo much in this episode, it just feels really corporate and gross

Bart Vs Itchy And Scratchy: It’s has way to many problems too discuss here, it’s one of those that you kind of have to see for yourself

Homer Simpson In: Kidney Trouble: One of the first bad episodes of the series, and it still holds up as one of the worst. It’s follows in Papa Don’t Leech and Million Dollar Abie’s footsteps by having Homer cause Abe to burst his kidney because of Homer’s neglect, and Homer is too much of a pussy to donate his kidney, even after the doctors say it’s the only way to save Abe’s life

D’oh Canada: They portray Canada as a utopia in this episode, and i kind of hate when people portray nations as perfect, wether it’s the US, Canada, China or any other country. It just feels super gross and shameless. They try and reverse this towards the end with the message ‘there and pros and cons to America and Canada’, but it comes off as lazy and last minute. Also, the Marge Lisa conflict is not handled well at all, and it contains a lot, and i mean a lot, of Trump jokes that the internet drove into the ground three years before the episode came out

Simpson Safari: Some jokes from this episode include:

•Harassing bag boys

•”i didn’t know you were having a casual get together”

•Bart eats a rock

•Funny African names

•A diamond mine run by monkeys

There’s nothing this episode does wrong, per say, but the jokes are so painfully unfunny, I cannot think of a single good joke in the whole episode

Co-Dependents Day: Homer frames Marge for a DUI

The last three are fairly infamous, so i don’t think I need to say anything about those, there as bad as people say
