My tribute to the Boston Celtics

3 years ago I started to watch the Celtics play because of my boyfriend. The team was undergoing big changes, trading away the big 3, trading doc, everything that I knew about THE Boston Celtics was wiped clean and they were starting over. It was then I started to really watch the games and the team grow, starting over, and investing emotions that I didn't know I had with every player that got drafted or traded.

Then my love for this team really started to burst when I got season tickets this past year, going to as many home games as possible with my boyfriend, learning what all the dramatic foul signals mean from his courtside annotations, gaining confidence to yell at the ridiculous foul calls the celtics gets slapped with, cheering at the top of my lungs when IT destroyed the opposition, Avery Bradley's aggressive D, Marcus Smart's relentless effort, Al Horford's humble hook shots, Kelly Olynick's man bun games, Jae Crowder's heat checks, Jonas Jerebko's break out games, and Jaylen's stylish monster dunks.

All and all, I hear all the doubts and critisicism the Celtics get for not being good enough to compete with the warriors and Cavaliers, but these new era Celtics played so hard for the past year to clinch the #1 seed in the playoffs without a whole lot of name brand players. They kept their heads down and continued to fight despite all the doubters out there.

I just want to say, the Boston Celtics have accomplished so.much. Thank you for making me a die hard celtics fan, see you guys next season at the garden ✌
