My vet gave my 7 month old female Maltese Bravecto oral chew at 5 PM September 25 - she's had diarrhea for last 24 hours and is acting very tired and weak she seems to be shaking a little bit too - I'm very worried!!

Well we have left the 24 hour animal hospital now. They gave her a cerenia injection, an ampicicillian injection, famotidone injection, fluid injection, and sent us home with metronidazole and cerenia. They offered to hospitalize her but it’s $2,500 starting to do that and then goes up from there depending on how long she would have stayed. I told them I do not have that much money and they said they could do what they can there and send her home and I can monitor her myself and if her condition worsens to bring her back in. So currently I’m out $260- considering getting a care credit card so if she doesn’t improve I can somehow pay to have her hospitalized because I would rather die myself than have her condition worsen. I feel so guilty, this could have all been avoided had I just looked up the medication before I let them poison her!!!!! I would have never taken that risk WHY they felt they needed to give her Bravecto when so many dogs have gotten sick/died from it is beyond me and I am completely beside myself- I spoke with the front office of the vet that gave her the medication and they are having a manager call me back. $60 for the original Bravecto, $260 so far to try to combat the poison. Fuck Bravecto and fuck my vet for not warning me about side effects and not even telling me it should be given with food!!!!! I’m just so sad and mad and heartbroken
