My views on anime/fiction as a whole

The thing is that, for the sake of discussion, I think there's need to give respect for those writers that put a lot of effort in creating a consistent world with believable and consistent characters/story, regardless if you liked it or not. I can say I had tons of fun with Code Geass, but also see how it doesn't stand before the critical eye, and I'd only recommend it as a fun wild ride to someone I know can withstand a certain degree of bullshit, not as a masterpiece of creativity and competent writing. Besides, one is not forced to finish everything that starts, and can move to stuff that fits them better. Even then bad experiences are worth it, I don't regret watching Black Bullet, since that's my reference for a 1/10, even if the fight against the clown guy was "cool", but forcing yourself to enjoy something just because you're investing time in it seems just wrong, and when a character acts like 3 different people in 12 episodes without a mental disorder involved is not "human" for example, but if that doesn't annoy some, that's fine, they can enjoy themselves. However, it's better when they can recognize what's wrong with those shows for a matter of respect to writers that actually think their stories, worlds and characters through and through by not putting everything on the same bag. No one has the same taste and grade of tolerance for bullshit.

On a side note, one thing I have really low tolerance for is comedy, as you said. I couldn't do it through a complete episode of Nichijou and didn't like the famous episode 25 of Gintama (while the first scene of SZS had me laughing for 5 minutes), but what I saw was outstanding animation (Nichijou) and a diverse cast with over the top reactionary humour (both) that sadly doesn't work for me, but as much as I didn't like it, I can't call them bad.
