It’s not so much THAT as it is the disgusting dismissive tone at the end: “I should be fucking her physically.” What would you do if your wife gets burned terribly on the face during an accident? Leave her? How about if she develops cancer and wastes away? Leave her at her sickest and most vulnerable?

Looks fade—I don’t believe you will be able to be physically attracted to someone forever. People get old, saggy, etc. You want to make sure what’s underneath isn’t rotten because one day it’s going to be all you have left.
