My wife is so happy her contraption worked after leaving her flowers alone for a week in the 100 degree Texas heat!

Note sure why my reply to you got deleted? She says she spent about $40. Three 2 liter bottles per plant container. Each one uses a 4.5" hose clamp that's just there for support while the bottle is full. After which, packing tape is wrapped around the bottle to hold it up after the bottle crushes in on itself. Do not poke holes in the bottle she says (other than for the 1/4" tubing stuck into the cap (drilled hole)). The bottles are supposed to crush in. She added zip ties which she later figured out didn't help at all. And the wood fence thing can be found in the garden section of any store. All together we were gone for 8 days, the plants were pushed out of direct sun light, and all 6 bottles had about a cup of water still in them when we got back. The soil was dark and damp when we returned! She's was so proud of herself after killing off every other plant she's ever had LOL
