Man, people need to relax. One line, and a follow up scene that probably just showed the commander in an room with implications that there was young women there, was removed, and everyone goes nuts.

They weren’t going to show actual rape, they weren’t going to show whatever mental image you have in your head. Whatever your thinking, scale it back. If a scene can be entirely moved at this point in development, it probably wasn’t all that important to the story. Which matters most, unless Reddit’s narrative changes I guess.

Removing scenes happens all the time. This isn’t the first, and might not be the last scene to get removed. It’s not a coincidence that they announce removing a controversial scene in a game being advertised as “realistic and gritty.” It gets people talking about it.

Furthermore, if they did remove a scene strictly because it’s too controversial, we have no one but ourselves to blame. The world is extremely sensitive, sheltered and often live in their own bubbles these days. I’d remove it too to avoid backlash in today’s society. Company and public image comes first, whether you like it or not.
