Naeem Rashid, the man who tried to stop the New Zealand mosque shooter with his bare hands, has died.

"The government was unable to save 50 people shot dead because the way emergency response works is that an emergency, like a shooting, has to happen in order for them to have something to stop. They can’t predict the fucking future."

So, let me make sure I have this right:

  • The government has stripped you of the ability to own a firearm for self defense
  • The government cannot protect you 100% of the time
  • Emergency response cannot predict crime
  • Emergency response cannot end a massacre such as this immediately

Keeping all of this in mind, why then is it so bad for people to be able to defend themselves? Do you think people should just try and outrun bullets like they tried to do at the mosque attacks?
