It may have only been an isolated incident cause I was the only one who had to sing. But the resident was going through a PowerPoint and they brought up the resident talent show. She then went around the room asking applicants what talents they had and everyone was saying stuff like “I can’t think of anything off the top of my head,” and “I have no talent.” She stopped before me and said she wishes they had people who sang because that would be cool. I used to sing chamber music in high school and in college and I said I used to sing, but now I sing in the shower. She asked me if I could sing for them. You can’t really say no because they think you’re a liar. So I got up and waited while she gathered the department and sang the first verse of “Shenandoah” to everyone in attendance. Then I was asked to sin it again during one of my interviews lol as someone who sings bass and never sings melody and hasn’t sung that song in like 4 years, it was nerve wracking lol it was the only song to come to my head
