Namibia beat Italy at World Inline Hockey Championship. First African country to ever reach medal round. Will face the United States. Very proud of my African neighbors!

The French team is mostly made up for players that were born in France or grew up in France, they're not wringers. How many generations of being Black in France is required for the media to stop asking "how many members are actually fully french?"

for french people? probably never?

but im not french, and i don't live in France, i don't even live in quebec, so my opinion on the topic is that they are french, just like how i consider immigrants in Canada Canadian, but im not talking about how i think, just how France thinks

The post I'm replying to directly poses the idea of "looks French" which is hard not to interpret as "black does not look french but white does"

that is exactly what was said, no interpreting needed, that is culturally how french people view the topic, its a big deal in France, and lots of french athletes have talked about it as well, french people do not consider immigrants or their children to be french, generally only white french people are considered french in France, its really messed up, but that is how they think

im just saying its not comparable because Americans do consider black people to be American in the USA, and suggesting they arent would be crazy, whereas in France that wouldn't be crazy it would be the opinion held by the majority of people

As much shit as people give the US for not being inclusive, they are a lot better than most European countries on the subject
