Nancy Pelosi sought assurances "maniac" Trump wouldn't use nukes after 2020 election

Well, for starters, they could have ran with the articles of impeachment drafted on the first day, instead of waiting several days to adopt one. It took a fucking week to impeach him after he attacked the country. The argument that "our government works slowly" is bullshit because we were literally just under attack, and we've seen them respond faster to significantly less important matters.

They waited so long because they wanted to give Pence multiple opportunities and even gave Trump the option to resign because it "gets rid" of Trump. Who the fuck allows our country to be attacked and then gives the attacker the option to simply go away quietly and peacefully without consequence?

They could have pursued the 14th amendment to remove those members of congress who aided in Trump's coup instead of letting these criminals sit in as jurors in their own crime.

They could have went ahead with calling witnesses during the trial to further expose Trump and his co-conspirators.

Biden and the Democratic party could have taken a hard stance against both Trump and the Republican party for trying to violently overthrow his own election instead of making a speech calling for unity with these terrorists.

Trump literally attempted a coup on live TV and this argument that "there was nothing more Democrats could have done" isn't based in reality whatsoever. Not being able to do anything means they've exhausted all their options, which they objectively did not. They chose not to utilize their options, dragged their feet and allowed Trump and the Republicans to get away with it without consequence.

I watched this all happen, step by step, and i remember it quite clearly, so let's not try to distort what happened with this "nothing could have been done" bullshit. This article literally talks about Pelosi being afraid Trump was going to drop nukes and according to you, we would have just had to let him do it and get away with it because Democrats are powerless. It's a ridiculous argument.
