This narrative that it's the Switch player's "turn" to get a MH game is so annoying when the other platforms could run Rise too

I completely agree with the idea of console exclusives being a crappy thing, since a lot of it just companies trying to boost console sales at the expense of the consumers. However, this situation is completely different. Nintendo did not cuck Rise by forcing it on their console.

In the past there were two distinct types of MH games, the main games and the portable series. Each of them are made by different teams so they have a lot of time to work on their games. Its just that things got kinda muddied recently since the main games were put on the 3DS. It just so happens that the switch is the only real portable console right now so Rise is almost certainly a “portable” game.

Idk, its kinda like complaining that the Portable MH games on the PSP are “console exclusive” and that they could have easily run on home consoles and PC. Or rather, any 3rd party game on on the PSP or switch.

Dont worry because the main team is probably working on a shiny new MH for PS5 and whatever and the nintendo-only players will have to go back to waiting again.

I only got into MH at MH4U so I wasnt in the community when the Portable games were a thing and most of what I know is from Gajinhunter, so I am wrong about anything please just slamdunk me.
