NASA’s budget for the fiscal year 2021 is $23.3 billion. But what if NASA had the US military’s $600 billion budget?

Your assessment is far from valid, and I’d go so far as to say ignorantly uninformed. Let’s forget about the years it takes to get military equipment working correctly, supply lies established, etc., nothing works out of the box. Let’s forget that the top Defense companies are US-based but don’t have to be. It’s a global market, after all. Let’s just talk about the power vacuum that would eventually come when one superpower stops actively being a superpower. But clearly, you have more faith in humanity than I do. I’m sure Hiroshima thought so as well.

I Never said the US was beneficent. Also, Mao Zedong was responsible for killing 45 million+ people. The Great Leap Forward, look it up. That’s in the last 60 ish years. Just in case you’re wondering, those numbers put the acts of Stalin and Hitler’s Holocaust to shame. I think I’ll stick with a non-communist superpower thank you very much.

You have your opinion, and I have mine. I’m all for world peace, but I don’t think humankind is there yet. I won’t be supporting anything that is defunding something I know will be protecting my children’s children in the future. On that same note, I also don’t think it should be any larger than it currently is.
