One of them was chosen 7th overall, made the team out of camp 3 months later, won the Calder, has 4 30+ goal seasons (1 40-goal season), more CAREER goals than all but like 280 players in NHL history, has earned over 50M in his career, and the rest of his contract will take him over 100M career earnings.
The other was drafted in the 2nd round (41st overall), took 4 years to even break the league regularly (had a cup of coffee in D+2 year), and is probably going to peak as a 3rd line player who will be lucky to hit 500 games played in the league. He has earned less than 1M so far in his career, and probably won't make more in his career than Skinner makes in 1 year of this contract barring some vast improvements he's unlikely to be able to make.
But nah, I guess Jeff Skinner is gonna be wildly upset about this guy chirping him. Suuuuuuuuure, I believe it.
