National Guard Foreign Deployments

It's well known now that the National Guard is now deployed along and working along the Iraqi/Syrian border and working not only inside Syria as well as the border areas.

In the train ups to deployment in the Guard, it's put your active duty boots on, along w combat vets that chose the Guard after AD that have experience in these environments. Some dont have that depth of experience but have show they offer not only the warewithall but have performed well. It helps to have older professionals, trademen and veteran with diversity of life experiences in any unit, in fact I do think the longest deployed combat unit was ANG.

I have a comrade from a foreign military that worked daily w the Texas ANG and he was not only impressed but said they were clearly up to par with his unit. Both had plenty of former combat deployed vets.
