Nature or nurture? And why do you think so?

I remember a study from years ago about identical twins (clones) raised apart and nature won out. I want to say the number I had heard was 55%-60% was nature and the remaining 40%-45% was nurture.

I'm not sure where I recovered those numbers but it was understood that "nature" had a slight edge over "nurture". The studies are considered unethical today and were apparently done secretly.

A quick search but not the original articles I had uncovered.

I think there is motivated-reasoning around nurture because it implies more control and people tend to be attached to the idea that they can control and change things versus some type of set fate. You also find certain philosophies and schools of psychology, like Behaviorism (dominant and hard to challenge in the 1950s in academia) attached to being able to manipulate all behavior.
