Navy Preparing for Microchipped Sailors, Soldiers

As dystopian as it may sound, this is ultimately inevitable. With technologies like CRSPR and cas9 going mainstream, the human body is slowly but surely turning into an information system. A chip might be the only thing that saves you from a zero day bio exploit in the future. The only problem is that it has to be open source and mathematically verified. Perhaps a better solution would be to datamine high IQ leaders in the electronics discipline and offer CRSPR genetic mod upgrades to anyone that's interested then hopefully you can build your own chip. That way you can not only build security to your satisfaction, your proprietary design should add an extra layer of security.

In less than two decades some random asshole would introduce the world to a home made bio virus. A chip might be the only way to react fast enough. Having said that, I still understand why it'll be resisted. Hell, I'm not even fully convinced but I'm certainly not as spooked about it as I used to be.

Crazy stuff
