Why was Nazi Germant so militarily strong?

I disagree. I think their "tech" advantage is greatly overstated.

Their tanks, for example, were engineering nightmares and very difficult to keep running.

Their planes weren't anything special compared to the British, which is why they lost the Battle of Britain. Their first fighter jet came out too late and had it's own engineering issues. They also never had long range bombers.

While some of their firearms were advanced and set the tone for the future, the role they played in the war was minimal. The German Army often ended up using Soviet weapons, specifically the ppsh.

The V-2 rockets were also extremely inefficient and, if anything, were detrimental to the German war effort.

And let's not even get to the medical experiments they were running on prisoners, where, despite having no ethics to hold them back, resulted in absolutely no medical advancements due to how shitty their experimental setups and records were.

The idea that Germany had some massive technological advantage over the Allies is just not accurate. The Germans were so obsessed with engineering some crazy weapon or vehicle that they ignored the practicality of such things.

Radar was British, and the rest of the world copied the British. Long range bombers were American, and the rest of the world copied Americans. The best tanks were Russian, which is why the rest of the world copied Russian tanks.

Really, the only things people emulated of the Nazis were the first assault rifle, the first jet engine, and rocketry, but none of those had any meaningful impact on the war.

The number one advantage the Nazis had was surprise. They surprised the French. They surprised the Russians. And then they got stomped.
