Nazis here, Nazis there, Nazis are everywhere!

I believe I have a bit of a different position when it comes to Nazis. I was born in America as a Jew and went to Hebrew school all through my childhood. We were constantly taught about how our people suffered throughout the war not only in camps but from 33's onward. I interviewed a man who was a child in Germany during the Reichsprogromnacht when I was about 11 preparing for my Bar Mitzvah. He recounted hearing the shouting and glass shattering. He was later taken to a concentration camp and survived the war later making it to the US.

6 years ago I moved to Germany as a teenager due to my dad's job. I experienced how the Germans look at the war. In the US my friends would make jokes that I would get beat up as a Jew in Germany etc. I've visited many Concenteation Camps and have found a passion for history. In history class we spent a lot of time talking about the rise of the Nazis and the details of fascism and the holocaust. German history class, and especially my teacher, are intent on ensuring that fascism does not rise again. My teacher was very clear when she said "The nazis aren't special, they can rise anywhere at any time"

2 years ago we found my last name inscribed on the walls of Theresienstadt, a death camp. Implying what happened to my European ancestors.
