NBD (to me) - Felt Dispatch 2010

Bought second hand as a commuter bike. It's a single speed, a style of which I'm a huge fan. Converted to pursuit/bullhorn handlebars with TT brake levers, added rear rack. Only the fork is carbon, but it's still way lighter than anything I've ridden before.

Initially it had drop bars, but I found them difficult, even after trying several alterations on angle, stem, brake lever positioning, etc. Mostly what bothers me about drop bars is that at my fastest, I tend to hold the bars at the very bottom, furthest from the brake levers. However, the brake levers are exactly what I want if I'm hitting my hardest speeds in traffic. With pursuit bars I'm able to reach a comfortable and aerodynamic compromise with my fingers always in reach of the brake levers.

I bought a little trip computer for it and I find I'm maxing out at about 40km/h. Obviously a geared bike would allow me to go faster, but I feel the efficiency declines rapidly at higher speeds due to the nature of air resistance. This bike is amazing for flat areas and mid range speeds.
