NBD: Nashbar Steel Cyclocross - working on the weekends isn't so bad when you get to ride in

So, about that review? I'm looking to sell my hybrid commuter and buy one of these. My eyes were also on the Crosscheck, but this just seems like a killer deal. I bought their SSCX for myself in June (birthday gift to myself!) and I think it's just fantastic. So comfortable and it's pretty damn fast. The brakes ARE garbage, but good enough for mostly cycle path commuting.

Anyway, I've been toying with the notion of selling my aluminum road bike and aluminum hybrid and replace them both with this Nashy. I don't race or really do any club riding, so the road bike isn't all that necessary. I do a few pretty good climbs every year.. like the Cherohala Challenge. It's a 8k' climb and I like my 19 lbs Trek for stuff like that, but I'm fairly certain I can still get that done with a bike like this. My hybrid is quick, but I hate flat bars. I mean, I hate them for commuting. I need my drops for some of our headwinds. I can swap all of my commuting gear onto this bike, too. So, the only real investment is the bicycle, which will probably be covered with the sale of the other bikes.

It seems like a great bike for the money. I mean, a Chinese steel frame is a Chinese steel frame. I don't have to buy a Surly to get a quality frame. My SSCX frame is awesome. I was just hoping to get a review now that you've been on it for a few months. If you posted one already, toss me the link. I'm not a fan of digging through user's posts. Seems sorta creepy to me.

I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
