I need advice

Can't say that I can really offer any advice but only somewhat commiserate. I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and sent home from Parris Island after a month and a half at Boot Camp. There isn't a day goes by I wish I could have stayed and graduated with my platoon and I think about them everyday. Still the ones I still have contact with are gracious enough to say they miss me as well.

Those from your unit know it isn't your fault you were sent back, and they know you still did more than the majority of the rest of the population ever will.

If you're able to it could probably help both them and you if you could send them packages and letters while they're on deployment. It doesn't seem much to those uninvolved but when you personally know them it has a whole lot more significance.
