Need advice: thinking of leaving the glock side, just for once...

This is, in a way, a difficult post for me to answer. (I think we're losing something in translation.) I used the word, 'might' in its subjunctive tense; it means, 'possibly' rather than, 'will'.

Anyway several other of your remarks stand out: (1) While a Glock in C-3 could not fire, a Glock in C-0 (Which is a facetious way to refer to any striker-fired pistol in C-1) could accidentally fire under a variety of different circumstances involving:

(1) A Glock falling from a height greater than 3 feet onto a hard surface, (2) 'spring bounce' or vibration, (3) any rotational or spinning motion that might be applied to the drop, and/or (4) certain worn mechanical parts - Especially if the edge of the cruciform’s sear tab is worn, or if the trigger bar is not fully forward. (One of the causes of Glock, 'kaBoom!' events!)

Moreover, a Glock’s striker-fired trigger mechanism is ALWAYS, at least, 75% cocked. (I read about estimates as high as 78%!) This is one of the reasons, ‘Why' anyone who plays around with a Glock’s internal springs needs to know what he’s doing and be careful. For example, among the last things that I would ever want to drop is a Glock pistol with a reduced weight striker-safety spring; and this is particularly true if any of the other springs or the connector have also been changed.

Yes, I know Glock owners do this all of the time; but, to use the vernacular, ‘It ain’t schmart!’ (That’s the only German I know.) :D

It’s NOT my intention to dump on Glock pistols. I’ve got two Glock Model 21’s that have somewhere around 25 thousand rounds fired through each of them - All without so much as a hiccup! (Which wasn’t true when they were new; but it is now!) I also own a G-19(RTF2) with about 4 thousand rounds through it. I’ve had problems with it, too - Mainly with Glock’s damnable MIM extractor; but, for the past 2 years, it’s been running well enough for me to trust it as an SD/EDC pistol; and I do!

My regards! I only wish that I had your ability with various languages instead of just English, and my passable ability with Spanish.
