Unemployment gets paid back to the state. Not to the employer. If you lost your case you are liable for repayment to the state. Call the number on the letter and make a payment arrangement.

Nothing you've said is out of line. An employer can cuss or tell you to move faster or give you direction to clean the dryer vents more often.
