I need a book that will emotionally tear me to pieces. Hit me.

This is the same here. I also saw it on reddit suggest thread, found it at local bookstore, and picked it up. I did think it was a great book and made me question my own emotional intelligence, but if anything the focus on him wanting to feel seen as a person regardless of his mental condition made it feel not so tragic when we find out he regresses. And maybe personal but when he starts to "free think" or whatever he calls his meditations where he focuses on remembering his past pushed me to do the same, so I was more caught up in my own trauma than his. So I still enjoyed it, just did not break down as I would have believed from the threads I've seen too.
